Zeng Xin Reiner Cheung · Full-stack engineer & IT operator

Systems that work,where work happens.

I plan, build, support, and improve the infrastructure and digital tools businesses depend on—from networks and CCTV to full-stack web platforms, workflows, and client service.

Infrastructure with accountability.

Software shaped by operations.

Support that stays close to the client.

Technical range, grounded in service and responsibility.

I am at my best when a technical problem also needs business judgment and clear communication.

My background spans full-stack engineering, internal business applications, PHP development, ISP operations, field connectivity, security systems, and customer care. I handle technical issues with the same attention I give to updates, documentation, escalation, and the client's next step.

That range helps me see how a technology decision will behave after installation—not only how it looks in a proposal.

01

See the whole system

Connect the network, the workflow, the people, and the customer experience instead of treating them as separate problems.

02

Work close to reality

Move comfortably between field constraints, device configuration, service operations, and the software that supports them.

03

Build for ownership

Create practical systems, documentation, and support paths that a team can operate after the initial delivery.

A career built across software, support, and operations.

From freelance development to enterprise applications and an operator-led IT practice, each role adds another layer to how I diagnose, communicate, and deliver.

Working with groups, not only with systems.

Delivery often depends on coordinating people, clarifying next steps, and keeping momentum across a room—not only configuring devices or shipping code.

Practical automation, with language models inside real workflows.

I use automation and language models to reduce repetitive work, organize information, improve support workflows, and help teams move from unstructured requests to practical actions.

Structured AI workflows

Design reusable n8n pipelines that pass media and context into Gemini Vision for evaluation and caption generation before publishing steps run.

Connected to operations

Treat language-model output as one step inside a larger workflow—paired with storage, logging, and channel posting—rather than as a standalone product.

Visibility when things fail

Route operational tracking and error reporting into Google Drive so failures and run history remain inspectable after a job completes.

AI-assisted build work

Use Codex and Cursor as development assistants on ongoing products such as a hotel and resort website with scheduling, and the BUQUING PCF EMR platform—under human direction and review.

Tools used across this work include MikroTik RouterOS, n8n, Gemini Vision, Google Sheets, Google Drive, Facebook and Instagram posting paths, Codex, and Cursor.

Operational systems and ongoing builds, with their status made clear.

Operational

Network & RouterOS automation

Sites can monitor gateways, fail over across WAN links, balance connections, and apply scripted topology cleanups instead of rebuilding rules by hand each time.

Problem
Multi-WAN sites needed dependable gateway monitoring, balanced traffic distribution, and cleaner migrations between provider topologies without manual rule churn on every change.
Solution
MikroTik RouterOS Netwatch scripts with Mangle rules for real-time gateway monitoring and multi-WAN failover on RB5009 and hEX hardware; PCC load-balancing with FQ_CoDel queues to reduce bufferbloat; plus scripts that migrate topologies (for example PPPoE service setups to flat LAN bridges) and clean obsolete rules.
My contribution
Designed, wrote, and applied the RouterOS monitoring, mangle, PCC, QoS, migration, and cleanup scripts in live network contexts.
Human controls
Failover behavior is defined in scripted monitoring rules, while broader change windows and field validation remain operator-led.

Operational

Subscriber management sheets

Subscriber information can be logged and organized by coverage zone in a shared, structured workbook instead of ad-hoc lists.

Google Sheets
View project detailsClose project details
Problem
Subscriber records across different service coverage zones were hard to keep organized as the service footprint grew.
Solution
Structured Google Sheets systems that log, organize, and manage subscriber data by coverage zone.
My contribution
Designed the sheet structure and automation patterns used to keep subscriber data organized by zone.
Human controls
Sheet-based records remain directly editable and reviewable by the operators responsible for subscriber information.

Hotel & resort site and EMR build assistance

AI tools accelerate drafting and iteration; they do not replace engineering ownership, testing, or release approval.

Problem
Active product work—hotel and resort web scheduling surfaces, and the BUQUING PCF EMR platform—still needs steady implementation under real delivery constraints.
Solution
Ongoing development assisted by Codex and Cursor for the hotel and resort website with scheduling, and continued EMR platform work, with humans directing scope, review, and release decisions.
My contribution
Uses Codex and Cursor as assistants while designing, implementing, and iterating product features; final judgment and validation stay with the engineer and stakeholders.
Human controls
Human-directed development and review. BUQUING modules remain subject to UAT, clinic validation, restore testing, and production approval as already stated elsewhere on this site.

Keep people in the loop where decisions matter.

  • Human validation for important decisions and product releases
  • Structured inputs and outputs inside workflows
  • Clear error paths, logging, and inspectable run history
  • Care with confidential or personal information in shared tools
  • Testing against realistic examples before relying on a path
  • Documentation so teams can keep operating the process
  • No unsupported AI claims or invented metrics
